Broward Eyes Indoor Mask Mandate After Miami-Dade Announcement

Broward County taking a closer look at a potential indoor mask mandate after Miami-Dade announces masks are mandatory at all indoor facilities. The question becomes is a mandatory mask mandate legal since Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order banning local governments from issuing mask mandates. Mayor Steve Geller is meeting with the county attorney to discuss this. In the meantime he's reiterating the call for everyone to get vaccinated in this latest COVID spike. Broward cases are doubling every nine days. 97-percent of those hospitalized haven't had a shot. The county is expected to open three more testing sites soon.
