Damage, Debris, Flight Cancellations & More Left Across Florida

Gov. Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for 49 Florida counties due to strong storms hammering across several regions.

At least 4 presumably EF-2 tornadoes touched down ripping through parts of the Panhandle, leaving several injuries and serious structural damage like roofs blown off and an overturned mobile home.

Tornadoes are also to blame for multiple deaths, one was reported in Alabama and one in North Carolina. Over 40 states are under blizzard, wind, snow or flood alerts as winter storms blanket the country.

Nearly 700 flights have been canceled already today, according to FlightAware. Jacksonville International Airport reported over 20 delays and three cancellations yesterday.
