Lux is here: ROSALÍA has officially released her fourth studio album, Lux, on Friday (November 7). The album, described as a groundbreaking and global release, showcases ROSALÍA's exploration of themes such as feminine mystique, transformation, and spirituality, and features collaborations with the London Symphony Orchestra and artists like Björk, Carminho, and Yahritza.

ROSALÍA's Lux consists of 18 tracks divided into four movements, with three songs exclusive to the physical vinyl and CD formats. The album includes songs like "Sexo, Violencia y Llantas," "Berghain," and "La Perla." The latter features música mexicana artist Yahritza and addresses themes of heartbreak and betrayal.

Rosalia's classical music training is evident throughout the album. She has incorporated operatic inspirations and sings in 14 languages, including Spanish, Catalan, English, and Japanese. In an interview with The New York Times podcast, "Popcast," Rosalia revealed her process of learning these languages involved both Google Translate and professional translators.

"It’s a lot of trying to understand how other languages work. It’s a lot of intuition also, and trying to be like, 'Okay, I’m going to just write and let’s see how this will sound in another language. Google Translate — and let’s see how this word is said." She added,"Okay, let me check with somebody who actually is a translator. If I rhyme this with this, will it make sense? No, it actually doesn’t make sense. Let me rephrase it. Constant back and forth for entire years just dedicated on lyrics."
